Several Italian chicken and turkey breeds, all included in the Italian Herd Book of Native Poultry Breeds, will be characterised by the constant recording of morphologic, reproductive and productive traits.

All the breeds taken into consideration are included in conservation programs directly managed by the Partners.

Up-to-date consistency of native poultry breeds, as reported in each breed’s page, was evaluated by the census performed during the first TuBAvI project (see Action 1) and is expressed according to FAO classification of risk categories (1998).
